Book Review: Unearthing Apartheid in the horn of Africa

Somalia has a long history of marginalization and discrimination, to the point of labeling fellow Somalis as a lesser Somali, and Somali Bantu, alias Jareer, falls under this category. This community have suffered from psychological damage due to the hatred, abuse and the harassment they received from the so-called ‘majority clans’ of Somalia. The author stated that Somali Muslim scholars dodged and neglected this issue and that they never give efforts to tackle against this alarming discrimination against the Somali Bantu community.  Abdulkadir Sheikh Sakhawadin who is from the Jareer community co-initiated SYL-freedom fighting movement, but unfortunately his people never enjoyed the country he strove for and Jareers never felt the fruits of the nationalism and patriotism he stood for. Alas, to make matters worse, his legacy is never celebrated the same way as is he case with his fellow SYL freedom fighters. This community is engaged in doing menial jobs and live in the lowest

The popular American Blogger Mark Manson has published this book called “the subtle art of not giving a fuck” in 2016. This author, who influenced a lot of people- changing the way they feel about life and about themselves. In this book, the author challenges the motivational speakers who always try to numb the pain that people are going through. Manson has blamed the motivational speakers on always showing people only about their loopholes and what they are missing in life. His popular joke triggers many questions on the genuineness of motivational speakers. The Afghan-American Author, Khaled Hosseini wrote this masterpiece called ‘The Kite Runner. The book was published by Riverhead in 2003. He stopped his physician career and switched to the writing industry when his creative masterpiece hit in the bestselling. The sad stories that the author tells in his books have attracted many people into sending money and other humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and even some started adopting Afghan kids. The novel is about an extremely powerful story of two young boys Amir and Hassan who grew up in Afghanistan. When the civil wars stormed the country, Amir and his dad had the privilege to move to America where they started their new life. In their days In Afghanistan Amir never returned the cordial and honest friendship to his friend Hassan. And since Karma is real, his new life in America was not rewarding. He experienced all sorts of curses; the loss of his father, the infertility and many other misfortunes. On the other hand, Hassan r
