Book Review: Act Like A lady, Think Like a Man by Steve Harvey

In 2009, the famous comedian Steve Harvey has published this best-selling and self-help book to give useful hints to women in their relationships with men, Though the book consists of 290 pages, it only took me 9 days to cover it, reading roughly 32 pages per day, and as far as I can remember, I have never finished such a book in that short time.

This book was in my reading list of 2019, as I got many Recommendations from different friends with different nationalities, Steve Harvey is an American comedian with many TV shows, and this book is the best and most popular among all his books which are mostly focused on relationships.

The book sums up the unique facts, secrets, behaviors, and nature about men, The only thing that I’m sure is that any girl who reads this piece will not fall on trap easily in her relationship with the boys. Here are some of his famous quotations about men.

“Not a man will never get into committed relationship until he feels accomplished on his major goals, in other words, a man will never give a priority on relationships until he earns decent income, and he fully capable to provide, profess and protect his woman” This is very true, as a man, I know many guys including me who are at their 20s and still single because they are struggling to become the person they want to be.

He also said “If a man truly loves you he will introduce you to his family and close friends, and the vice versa”
Mr. Harvey also stated that men have a different kind of love compared with the women, He classified the men into two:
1.     Sports Fish: a man who only dates the girls, slept with them and throw them back.
2.     Keeper: A man who honestly dates and loves the girl and marry her.

He also explained many reasons that men cheat, what I liked about his book is that he said, the men are tested through their patience under the pressure, like  when they are interacting with waiters and street people,

One thing I disagree about his book is that he believes that men don't care about the woman's’ car, beauty, style, where she from and etc. men really care about it.

The book is really meaningful, easily understandable and lovely, I’m sure you will not regret the time you spent on it.
